Clamecy is a charming small town in the Hauts-de-France region. In today's post, let's take a stroll through the lovely narrow streets of its historic centre.
The entire medieval centre has been designated as a protected sector by the French government, the only one in the Nievre department.
I went there two weeks ago and loved the peaceful atmosphere and the mix of medieval architecture. The inner rings' old houses and buildings dated from the 13th to 16th centuries. The majority of them are still in good condition. Some appear rundown, but are graceful and enchanting.

How cool that you were able to get all of these great pictures without a soul in sight. Pigeons do not count either.
Pigeons don't have souls? There were actually an old lady and a man, and two cats too.;)
