We went to Squaw Valley as a group for one reason - to snowboard and check out the former Olympic snowfield . It was on the other side of Australia so getting there was a bit of a way but well worth the trip. I was still a beginner boarder (currently still am!) so the main thing was to hopefully get my skills up and be able to keep up to the others. This requires lots of energy and to we always need to eat well to make sure we have energy to go back up to the slopes.
我們去斯闊谷滑雪度假勝地最主要的原因就是去滑雪因為這裏以前是在 1960年辦過冬運. 從澳洲飛到美國真是很遠但跟朋友去是值得的. 我玩單板滑雪當時是初哥但希望不會太慢，可以跟得上其他朋友所以每天都會用很多氣力來完成每一個圈.當然用完能量就要吃一點東西來補充體力才可以再上山滑雪.
There were many food options at Squaw Valley but personally I don’t fancy the food on offer mainly it is too oily. I guess we do need the fat to keep our energy up but to a point I prefer a bowl of hot ramen. For breakfast we normally just have some toast, sausages, eggs, bacon and some salad. But someone thought it was a great idea to have a pizza at breakfast …. that was a bit too much for me but it was fun times!
在有斯闊谷滑雪度假勝地裏有很多不同餐館選擇但我覺得大部份選擇都不適合我的口味因為大多都是很肥膩. 其實有點肥膩是好的因為每天用盡能量要這類東西才可以補充但有時候真是很想吃一碗熱拉麵已經好滿足. 早餐我們大概在家會吃一些香腸，煙肉，雞蛋，多士和一點沙律. 有一天，有人提議不如吃Pizza做早餐，這次我覺得有點誇張但幾特別.
During lunch, we would go for quick meals so we can maximise the time on the snowfields. Burgers, fries, potatoes, waffles, fried chicken would be most lunches we have. I do value the time during these lunches as it is the only time I get to sit down and have a proper rest rather than site on the snowfields after each fall. Although the food was so so for lunch, it was fun with friends which was all it counts.
午餐大家都會選擇一些方便的東西例如漢堡包，薯條，土豆，炸雞等等. 我很期待吃中午飯的時候因為這個時間可以靜靜休息一下因為每次滑完一個圈真是很累.雖然午餐的食物味道一般但跟朋友一齊吃有傾有講好開心.
Dinners could also be pizzas, pastas but at a nicer setting. We normally will go back to the resort and get a nice hot shower and get ready for dinner. No rushing and just enjoying the food and each others company. Compared to some of the other snow fields we have been to the choices here are limited but there are many of them that serves similar types of food. Or alternatively you can cook at home but after a tiring day on the snowfield, we rather just go out and eat.
晚餐我們都會揀吃一些 Pizza，意粉等等. 我們選的餐館都是比較好一點因為做完一天的運動大家都想吃好一餐，有一些好的服務. 這個雪場跟我們去過其他相比雖然餐館多但食物種類有限所以有些人都會選擇在酒店裏煮一些簡單的晚餐但我們就一致決定每天都在外面吃不用買餸，煮同洗碗.
