Hi Everyone 大家好,
Japan City has been a long living brand in Australia bringing authentic Japanese home goods to our cities. There isn’t one near where I live and can only visit one in the city or in the outer suburbs. Last month, they have finally opened a branch in Chatswood which is not far from our place. Not only the store, they have also bought in the restaurant serving some nice Japanese food. The menu is different to those at other stores like at Top Ryde so we decided to check it out hoping the line wasn’t too long.
Japan City 在澳洲是一間很有名的日本家居用品店. 在我家最近一家要到市中心唐人街才有但最近在 Chatswood 就開了一間分店.這間分店不但有傳統日本家居用品可以購買而且在加添一間日本餐廳讓大家可以買東西之餘還可以吃一餐美味的日本菜. 這家餐廳的餐牌跟其他分店不一樣所以就想試一試有什麼不同.
Luckily it was only a 10 minute wait and we got our table. The menu was simple but sufficient for us. Let’s have a look at the menu. We ordered a prawn tempura for the kids, wagyu bento, kaisen teishoku, pork skewer, matcha float, hoijicha milk, a hot matcha and matcha ice cream for dessert. The servings aren’t very big so there is enough for food everyone.
我們去到的時候要排隊但大概10分鐘之後就已經有座位給我們一家. 先看看餐牌. 雖然餐牌種類不多但已經足夠讓大家叫了一些美味的食物. 我們叫了一碗天富羅蝦烏冬給兩個小朋友，和牛餐，海鮮魚定食，豬肉串燒，三杯飲品和一個雪糕作甜品. 看起來好像叫了很多東西但因為餐的份量不是很多所以是足夠的.
What I love about this place is they give you pre packaged cutlery. This will eliminate any waste and make sure everyone has what they need. The pack included the usual utensils but what I really liked was they included toothpick in every pack just like in Japan.
這間餐廳很環保因為每一個客人都會有一份餐具避免浪費. 每一分餐具都有必需用品例如筷子，紙巾等等而最令我覺得貼心的就是有一支牙籤跟日本的服務一模一樣.
The drinks came first and gosh it was the delicious. The kids loved the matcha float and I was glad we ordered one for everyone to try. Hubby ordered the hojicha milk which I love as it had a really nice tea taste to it. My hot matcha was a bit of a disappointment as it didn’t compare to the ones I’ve had in Japan before.
飲品先為我們準備好.兩個小朋友很喜歡綠茶凍飲因為甜而且有一塊威化餅. 老公的奶茶味道很香濃，我比較喜歡. 另外我叫一杯綠茶熱飲有點失望跟日本相比差很遠沒有很濃的綠茶味.
The food came. Everything tasted exactly what we expected with the wagyu beef was exceptional. The beef was tender and melted straight away in our mouth and the sauce was fabulous. The other dish that stood out was the sashimi I ordered. Great variety with large thick cuts of each seafood. It was super fresh and I just wanted to have more and more. Definitely worth ordering these two if you wanted something outstanding.
今次的食物最令我們有深刻印象就是黃牛這份餐因為黃牛入口即溶味道真的不錯.另外我份魚生定食與新鮮而且種類不錯下一次到這間餐館都會再叫多一次.其他食物合格沒有什麼驚喜.
There was no table service as you need to order the food from the counter and they will bring it out to you. You can also get cold and hot water from the front with cups and extra plates available to you. There is normally a line to wait for a table while during lunch the line can be very long as the kitchen does take awhile to serve their food. Overall I think its a great addition to Chatswood and would come here more often if I crave for nice Japanese food.
這裏沒有什麼服務要自己在櫃檯叫餐和自取凍水或熱水. 在中午的時候一般都要排隊因為出餐時間比較慢所以等候時間會比較長. 總括來講有多一間日本餐館在 Chatswood 可以讓大家有多一個選擇是不錯的.
