Day 27: When Plants Speak, Life Grows Louder
Lately, I’ve started to believe that my plants understand more than they let on.
They don’t talk back.
But they grow when they get the chance.
And when they bloom—it’s always in their own quiet way, as if to say,
“Hey, I’ve been here all along.”
🌻 Photo 1
Sunflowers blooming from the cactus crowd
This morning, two bright sunflowers caught my eye—
bursting out from behind what I call the “cactus gang.”
I hadn’t paid much attention to that pot recently,
and yet there they were:
bold, glowing, unexpected.
It reminded me of those quiet colleagues who stay under the radar,
and then one day… just shine.
🌵 Photo 2
The mysterious “cactus worm”
No one in the office can agree on what this plant is.
Some call it cactus.
Others insist it’s a “cactus worm” (which honestly sounds like a game character).
One coworker even asked, completely seriously:
“Can we cook with this?”
We haven’t tested that theory—yet.
But I did google it, and apparently, some types are edible.
Still, I prefer mine like this:
growing peacefully in the corner, doing its silent thing.

A living wall with a space to breathe
This one’s my favorite shot of the day.
A lush vertical plant wall—
but right in the center, a clean oval space left open, like an intentional pause.
The sunlight came in just right,
and for a moment, I stopped thinking about plants
and started thinking about space.
How sometimes, what we leave blank says just as much as what we fill.
That open oval?
It wasn’t empty.
It was breathing.

A quiet morning meeting with four team members
We gathered early today—just four of us, standing near the plants,
talking about the week ahead, reviewing feedback from our training sessions.
No slideshow, no big agenda—just people and green things.
The plants didn’t say much (as usual).
But I swear they were listening.
They’ve been growing unusually fast lately, so maybe…
they’re taking notes too?
✨ Final thoughts
These plants aren’t decorations.
They’re companions.
They grow even when I forget to look.
They bloom even when no one’s watching.
I try to be more like them:
No grand announcements.
Just slow growth,
and bright moments when it matters.
Because sometimes, the best way to answer the world—
is to quietly bloom.
Cheers.
