“Goddess- Ame no Uzume”
I drew this picture for my cut paper art and digitally processed it. This is just a design. I didn’t create the cut paper art yet. The background of this picture is my acrylic painting.
Japan has many interesting ancient myths. I love to read myths. I also like to read Greek myths, Indigenous myths as well. Mythology is very simple and sounds very close to our modern society stories. I read that Ame no Uzume’s specialty is dancing. That's why I drew her dancing scene.
Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto (Japanese: 天宇受売命, 天鈿女命) is the goddess of dawn, mirth, meditation, revelry and the arts in the Shinto religion of Japan, and the wife of fellow-god Sarutahiko Ōkami.
