Valent ine to me is just like everyother day to love, both the special one and the general one.
Yeah I have given some gifts back then, flowers, cake, fruits... but these days, I give books, books that I love and I share them as pdf to people I love and request they send me books too.
E be like say I go dey call that day.. but love go dey everywhere.
That way, I guess there will be a lasting effect of what we call valentine and we get to finish the book before the month runs out too.

Valentine is no big deal for me, never really celebrated valentine, but once in a while I like attending valentine parties and watch people doing lovie lovie.
I have never received a valentine gift shaa, but i know back in primary school one teacher scammed us and asked us to bring her valentine gift or we will fail our exam.

Valentine is a day of love and it's doesn't mean so much to me because I try to show love daily but I do get the appeal of a particular day being set aside to do something special.
Last year I gave chocolate out and I received a lot of chocolate also, I was pretty happy because I love chocolate.
There is a need because a lot of people don't consciously show love daily so it's like a reminder to show love to someone special.
Valentine's day is a Monday so I might spend the day before with my person and then Valentine's day itself with family.
I plan on getting stuff for certain people around me no matter how small also..
I also have church in the evening.

Valentine’s Day is like every other day to me. I believe everyday is a day to show love and I try to show love and kindness in little ways everyday. So just like everyday, Valentine’s Day is just another day to be kind to others.

To be honest, I don’t think the focus should be on promoting love on a particular day. Everyday is a day to promote love and kindness.

I honestly don’t remember having a Valentine’s Day celebration. It’s really not something I think that highly of, and that’s because I don’t believe I need to wait on a particular day to show extra love and care to my loved ones, but that’s not to say I can’t join in in the spirit of the occasion if I want to.
This year I feel inspired to join in. Though I don’t remember receiving a gift on valentines day, I think I might be receiving some this year. I’m not sure how the day will go but I’m in the mood to celebrate love this time out.

Simply put, valentines day is the feast day of St. Valentine to show and appreciate love. One can show love through different means like alms giving, partaking in various infrastructural activities, helping elderly ones, and then ones spouse.

I have given valentine gifts to a loved one, but the one I happily did was giving to an orphanage last year and celebrating with them. Also, I have received nice stuffs like a box of perfume.

Although, there is really no need for Valentine's day because as humans we should be able to show love to friends families, neighbors and those in need at any point in time. But for people that only do special stuff for loved ones on specific dates can have the need to.

First of all, I've never really been a fan of valentine. I've never received or given a gift during valentine.
The closest thing I got to one was when my secondary school crush bought short cake biscuit and drink for me as Val's gift. That's the closest thing I've had to actually celebrating Val.
I feel it's for married couples though. If you're just dating, what's the stress?
As I am like this, it's money I'm looking for ooo. Courting down to Val has never been in my agenda cos it's just like every other day.
