Hello, dear readers
It's 34th week of Hive Open Mic. This week's topic is "Hand on". I'm not a singer, but I always have my hands of some instruments. Sometimes more instruments that I can handle. I chose this song because it's so beautiful and I've always wanted to make a cover. Fortunately, I had the melody and chords provided by a friend a long time ago. So, this platform has given me the chance to use pieces I have collected over the years and finally playing them.
This whole deal of being a soloist is new for me, but I'm enjoying every bit of it. I hope you like this song as much as I do. For the moment, this is a pic of what I mean by more instruments that I can handle:

Es la semana 34 de Hive Open Mic. El tema de esta semana es "Hands On". Yo no canto muy bien, pero siempre tengo algún intrumento en mis manos. A veces, tengo más instrumentos de los que puedo manejar. Escogí esta canción por su belleza y porque siempre había querido hacer un cover de la misma. Afortunadamente, un amigo me había pasado un cifrado con la melodía hacer bastante tiempo. Esta plataforma me ha dado la oportunidad de utilizar todo el repertorio que he ido acumulando a lo largo de los años y tocar esas canciones.
Todo este asunto de ser solista es nuevo para mí, pero estoy disfrutando cada momento. Espero que disfruten de esta canción tanto como yo. Por el momento, déjenme mostrarles a qué me refiero cuando hablo de más instrumentos de los que puedo manejar:

Excelente interpretación de este vals estándar del repertorio de los ensambles de música venezolana. Nos gustan mucho estas interpretaciones tan bien elaboradas! Solo hace falta revisar un poco la estructura de la pieza, hay ciertos detalles de repeticiones de semifrases. Puedes comparar con la versión original. Click aquí.

Gracias por el comentario. Pero cada arreglo es libre de hacer juego con las repeticines y secuencias que considere pertinentes. Esta versión viene de mano de alguien que hizo la transcripción a la manera que le gustó la pieza. Yo solo hice la adaptación a los instrumentos.

That's right! I still remember the day she told me that if I brought more instruments to this house I would need to leave in order to give them space. I haven't stopped to bring instruments. 😅

Espanol: ¡Ha! Me gusta esa foto. Sí, me imagino que si tuvieras suficientes brazos podrías hacer una fabulosa banda de un solo hombre. Me encanta la maraca, yo diría que es mi segundo instrumento favorito (después de la guitarra). Me gusta la forma en que tocas esas cuerdas. Todavía estoy asombrado por la forma en que mantienes el tempo tan bien entre los dos instrumentos. ¿Tiene un monitor interno para su metrónomo? Es complicado.
English: Ha! I like that photo. Yes, I imagine if you had enough arms you could make a fabulous one-man band. I love the maraca, myself - I'd say it's my second favorite instrument (after guitar). I like the way you play those strings. I'm still in awe of the way you keep the tempo so well between the two instruments. Do you have an in-ear monitor for your metronome? It's tricky.
Sería genial tener más brazos para más instrumentos. Seguro que podría ser un "Hombre orquesta". Las maracas son geniales aunque todavía estoy aprendiendo a tocarlas bien. No hay mucho de lo que asombrarse con el tempo. Un metrónomo ayuda a resolver todo ese asunto de cuadrar el tempo. Aunque limita un poco a poder hacer más cosas. No por la medida, pero porque no tengo un micrófono para grabar ambas partes al mismo tiempo.
It would be awesome to have more hands. I'm sure I could become an "Orchestra Man". Maracas are great, but I'm still learning to play them well. There's not much to say about tempo. A metronome solves any issue regarding tempo. However, I'm limited to performance details. Not because of measures, but because I lack a microphone and can't record audio and video at the same time.
