Hello friends of Hive and my dear Hive Open Mic community, I was already a little late but here I am. This week is very special I think, for everyone, yesterday started the best month of the year and if you saw my previous post, it brings me a lot of nostalgia for what I commented there, however, today I bring you a video that will make your life very happy.
Today I will play a very famous Christmas song that has the same name as this week's theme: "Joy To The World". This song has been played in many musical genres, has been translated into many languages and is one of the best known Christmas hymns worldwide.
It was written by Isaac Watts in 1719 and musically composed by Georg Friedrich Handel and arranger Lowell Mason in the mid 19th century. The version I will play today is the one by singer Danny Gokey, a more modern version with a very fresh sound. This version is from the album "The Greatest Gift: A Christmas Collection" released in December 2019.
I made some very simple arrangements with the guitar, highlighting the distortion throughout the song, becoming a little more rock version; in particular I enjoyed it very much and more because despite being a month that brings me many memories, this week has been very great in terms of new learning and believe me, I'm happy to bring you this song.

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi querida comunidad Hive Open Mic, ya me estaba retrasando un poco pero aquí estoy. Esta semana es muy especial creo que, para todos, el día de ayer inició el mejor mes del año y si viste mi post anterior, a mi me trae mucha nostalgia por lo que comenté ahí, sin embargo, hoy les traigo un video que les alegrará mucho la vida.
Hoy les tocaré una canción navideña muy famosa que tiene el mismo nombre que la temática de esta semana: “Joy To The World” (Alegría para el Mundo). Esta canción la han tocado en muchos géneros musicales, la han traducido a muchos idiomas y es uno de los himnos de la navidad más conocidos a nivel mundial.
Fue escrita por Isaac Watts en 1719 y musicalmente compuesta por Georg Friedrich Handel y el arreglista Lowell Mason a mediados del siglo XIX. La versión que tocaré hoy es la del cantante Danny Gokey, una versión más moderna y con un sonido muy fresco. Le hice unos arreglos muy sencillos con la guitarra, destacándose la distorsión durante toda la canción, convirtiéndose en una versión un poco más rockera, en lo particular la disfruté mucho y más porque a pesar de ser un mes que me trae muchos recuerdos, esta semana ha sido muy grandiosa en cuanto a nuevos aprendizajes y créanme, estoy feliz en traerles esta canción.

¡Wow hermano!. Esta versión es perfecta, cómo no gustarme. Me encanta la combinación de sonidos eléctricos, alma rock y una melodía que data de los 1700. ¡Bravo!. @Jhoxiris y yo estamos por subir el arreglo a cuatro voces de Handel, nos fuimos más a lo clásico. This version is great, and well, I gave it my rocker touch hahahaha, if you listen to the song on Youtube you will notice that the guitar is heard very far away, it is almost imperceptible because it is acoustic.
