Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's international open mic event attracts 100+ musicians and thousands of listeners each week. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the songs with a showcase, much like a live music concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for creative expression and genuine connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are creating a harmonious world, by sharing the enjoyment of music.
For the 104th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Guitarra Automática." In English, this means: "Automatic Guitar," making reference to the weapons of destruction and transmuting them into tools of creation, like a war made peaceful through music. This theme is selected by @alejandrorigo, who is a rad guitarist and singer-songwriter from Venezuela. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Guitarra Automática.
“Guitarra Automática”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Guitarra Automática.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 104,” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Hola a todos, creo que @alejandrorigo seleccionó un buen tema, pienso, sin temor a equivocarme, que la guitarra es si no el instrumento al que más se le ha cantado, si uno de los primeros. He escuchado tangos, rancheras (música folklórica mejicana), baladas...que hablan sobre la guitarra. Creo que habrá un amplio repertorio entre el cual escoger la canción a grabar. Éxito para todos.

Hello community of music lovers. This week Hive Open Mic offers us the theme "Automatic Guitar". This was the idea of @alejandrorigo, a Venezuelan guitarist, singer and composer, and, although it is always made clear to us that the song is a suggestion that is not mandatory, I have tried to adapt me to each weekly proposal, this has made me interpret songs that otherwise I would not have taken to sing, a demand that is making me leave my "comfort zone" and that... is very good. This time I bring you the ballad "La Guitarra"("The Guitar") , original by the unforgettable Venezuelan singer-songwriter Edgar Alexander.
