Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 117th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "True Friends." This theme was chosen by Spotlight Artist @chosenfingers. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: True Friends. Sending hugs!
“True Friends”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “True Friends.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 113,” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Hola queridos amigos de Hive Open Mic. Esta Semana Número 117 tenemos un tema bien interesante - Verdaderos Amigos. Es posible reconocer que estamos en presencia de un verdadero amigo cuando este acepta que puedes equivocarte y no tiene ningún problema en perdonarte. Los verdaderos amigos saben disculpar ciertos errores, perdonar de corazón y primar la buena relación y el tiempo compartido. Por ello, por aquí les dejo mi entrada de esta semana con un Vals Instrumental venezolano que se titula "A un amigo" del compositor Oswaldo Peralta y fue grabado, por primera vez, por el Grupo "Venezuela 4" en al año 1975. Esta es una versión similar a la versión original hecha por Venezuela 4. Solo espero que sea del agrado de todos ustedes.

Hello, community, it's been a long time since I've been here due to lack of time, studies absorb me a lot, but I'm going to participate in the event this week since I really like the theme of friendship. Success for everybody.
Hello community, this week 117 our friend @chosenfingers proposes us to play melodies that talk about friendship. I put together two songs by Brazilian singer-songwriter Roberto Carlos, since they are both about friendship. The first is "Friend" and the second "I just want" (Better known as "A million friends"). I haven't participated in Hive Open Mic for a long time because it doesn't give me a chance to study at the university. I had a "breather" because classes were suspended due to the threat of a cyclone, so I went to "look around" and when I saw that this week the theme was friendship, I was quite motivated. My dad (@orlandeto), may he rest in peace, always told me that friends were brothers who had been born into another family and I firmly believe that. The Bible also says "There is a friend who is closer than a brother" Well, I am an only child... and although it is very common to have siblings "on the father's side" my father, only fathered me, so I am really unique for both lines, paternal and maternal, but I have had and have very good friends, that is also a Grace that should be thanked to God.
