Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 122nd week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Emotion." This theme is selected by our community's recent Spotlight Artist @sunsethunter, who is a terrific musician hailing from New Zealand. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Emotion.
“Emotion”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Emotion.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Dear community, in this week 122 the theme selected by our recent Spotlight Artist @sunsethunter is "Emotion", so I'm going to participate with the song "Like a Sunday"...which says "...keep in mind that there are still time, everything is down to emotion". I hope you like this participation, since it is a very emotional composition. It has been performed by various singers, I really liked the version by Antonietta and Paul Anka, although my interpretation is different and even in a different tone.

Hello dear community, at the request of our recent Spotlight Artist @sunsethunter, we went live looking for songs that fell under the theme of "Emotions". I bring you a pop rock ballad from the '70s that made the group "Azúcar, cacao y leche" (Sugar, cocoa and milk) popular. In it we connect with feelings and emotions such as nostalgia ("I wish you would come back to me"), anxiety ("I won't spend another day without you"), jealousy ("find someone to kiss you like me") , helplessness ("this love that did die"), loneliness ("this summer night without anyone by the hand will be embedded in my sorrows like rocks in the sand for you").

Muy buena la temática escogida por @sunsethunter. Pensando acá acerca de esas canciones que nos remueven las emociones, a veces porque están ligadas al recuerdo de un amor o de un desamor, de una persona o de un acontecimiento. Y otras veces...por sí mismas. El himno "Alabo tu bondad" del grupo Kairoi, un canto de alabanza demasiado hermoso que se ve que nació de la oración y nos lleva a ella. Además que es un canto que no nos habla de Dios sino que es una oración dirigida a Él, le recomiendo lo escuchen. En otro orden de cosas, la canción "Abrázame muy fuerte" de Juan Gabriel, desde la primera vez que la escuché me produce una emoción muy intensa...demasiado. Se me humedecen los ojos, me da como una congoja interna... no me atrevo a cantarla. Creo que está muy acertada la temática y nos permitirá conectarnos mediante la música a diversas emociones. Mil bendiciones y éxito para todos.
Hello, community, this week 122 I bring you the ballad "A tu recuerdo" (To your memory) that was popularized by Los Àngeles Negros (Black Angels), a Chilean musical group, founded in 1968, which since its inception achieved international fame with its very romantic songs. They cultivated the genres of pop music, ballads and boleros. In our days they continue their musical work although they have changed several of their members. The song "To your memory" is from those early years when its soloist was Germain. I selected this song because it is a very emotional song and because one of its phrases says "I felt a great emotion" and emotion is precisely the theme proposed by our Spotlight Artist @sunsethunter for this week.

Hello, dear community, in this week 122 we are all in tune with the theme proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist: @sunsethunter, an excellent musician from New Zealand who brings "Emotions" to the fore. In harmony with this fantastic idea, I bring you, with the support of several of my colleagues from the Venezuelan Power Musical Group, the song "Estas Emociones" by Ana Gabriel. It is not one of his best-known songs, but it connects us with great joy and energy with emotions that we have all experienced at some point.
