Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 129th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Trust." This theme is selected by our recent Spotlight Artist: @ruthlopez. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Trust.
“Trust”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Trust.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

A big greeting to this community united by the magic of music that, week after week, jumps geographical and linguistic borders clinging to staves and musical notes. The theme for this week 129 is "La Confianza" (Trust), put on the table by @ruthlopez, our recent Spotlight Artist. This theme led me to a specific song: "Torneró" (I'll Come Back) whose original version in Italian, performed by the group "Santo California" became fashionable in Venezuela in the 70's.
This theme focuses on the separation that a couple will have for a period of one year due to the long trip that one of the two must make. The promise of "I will return" (Torneró), reinforced by phrases such as "a year is not a century" or "time flies" does not lessen the pain expressed in others such as "how difficult it is to live without your love" or "How can I live a year without your love?" The deep base that will make it possible to wait for the reunion is a mixture of love and trust. I hope you like the choice of theme and its interpretation.

My dear Hive Open Mic community, in tune with the TRUST theme, suggested by @ruthlopez our recent Spotlight Artist, I bring you the song MARRIAGE, original by LOS TRES TRISTES TIGRES (Three Sad Tigers) , a Venezuelan musical group that in the 70s saw fashion to songs from his repertoire such as "Matrimonio" (Marriage) , and "Dum dum". The song that I bring you today seems very appropriate to me since I believe that there is nothing that needs a greater share of trust on both sides than agreeing on a marriage. It is committing to be together and united "through thick and thin" for life, it is taking a leap into the void holding the hand of someone who will only get to know enough after the jump

Hello, my very dear Hive Open Mic community, in this week 129 our recent Spotlight Artist @ruthlopez proposed the theme TRUST . I remembered that there is a biblical text where they call the opposite of blessed the human who trusts another human. Really, that kind of confidence (even in ourselves) can end in disappointment. Thinking that the only Being in whom we can fully trust being totally sure that He will never betray us, He will never disappoint us, He will never disappoint us is God, our Creator Father, I bring this song dedicated to Him. We use it in the Mass at the time of offertory, so we made some adaptation to the lyrics that you will notice when comparing our version with the original. We hope you like it.
