Hello brothers and sisters, We are Indonesia Bersatu, a Punk Rock band from Medan, Indonesia. We are here again to entertain you and also share the music video that we played in the Hive #OpenMic community which has entered its 128th week. So, this week's theme is “Desamor " which means “Heartbreak” which has been chosen by spotlight artist @yosoyla72. is quite a complicated theme for us, but very interesting, because Heartbreak is something to do with breakups.
If I think about it, heartbreak has a broader meaning. When we watch sad movies, we can also get heartbreak. Especially if you see something more than that around us. It can be said that our band was formed because of a heartbreak. Yups, we heartbreak seeing the harsh reality around us. Many oppressions are still happening around us, many children cannot go to school because of the high cost of education, many sick people cannot be helped because they cannot afford hospital fees, and there are still many hungry people who are forced to steal because they do not have ordinary, and much more. These things make our heartbreak.
By forming this band, we voice our protest against injustice through music. Why do we choose punk in the genre of music that we carry? Because punk is a rebellion. We rebel because we reject oppression and injustice. We want this world to have no social inequality, we want this world to be ruled by hypocrites who don't care about the fate of the lower class. Our heartbreak will continue to roar, screaming until justice is served by the proletariat.
From this week's theme, we sing an original song that we released in 2006. The song entitled “Fakta” in English is “Fact” written by our vocalist named Opan Gobank. This song is included in our second album, “Merdeka Atau Mati” in English "Freedom or Die" which was released and distributed by “Tuax Records”.

The place where we recorded this video at our friend's music studio named Mita, which is located on Jl. Setia Budi, Medan City, Indonesia. We recorded it using a Cannon brand mirrorless camera. For the sound produced, I edited using Adobe Audition CC to reduce noise in the sound recording, and the final process of editing the video was using Adobe Premiere Pro CC software. I loved what you wrote about the rebellion and how Indonesia Bersatu is part of this disenchantment with what is happening in society; inequality is a terrible problem brother, all our countries have plenty of wealth, that's no secret, but a cowardly minority wants to keep the majority poor, restricting them from having a decent life!
