About 5 yrs ago, I learned "September Song" originally done by Sarah Vaughn
I couldn't quite "Get" either brother Willie's version, and I don't have lungs (ahem) like Ms Vaughn, but I mimicked as much of both as I could.
I created the midi file, and performed it many times for the Senior's in the facilities, where it was often requested.
It is beautiful, but sad and melancholic, so I wondered why those who were so close to "December" of their lives would want the song to remind them.
I lost a first cousin last week, and today found out my sister is on Deaths door.
This is not meant to be part of any contest, though if it fits the bill, more the merrier.
Since Death is a part of Life, I thought it appropriate to include your logo

Thank you my friend, because of my own personal situation and the urgency to get this done at this time, I'd not gone over it more than the several takes it took, and in the last refrain my voice almost cracked from the tears trying to well out (just as they are right now)
At that point, the song was DEEPLY personal.

No one wants to die. I know... but there's no other way to say it. More than that... no one wants to die alone. I know this can't be easy on you brother. And for that, I am sorry. But you keep them with us. Your song brings them solace, and because of this. They live on... through you.
Heavy... yeah. But I never sugar coat things. Even when I know it will hurt. But hurting means we are still here! Because when it's our time. There will no longer be any hurt.

It has grown on my since then. As I am going through "a season of loss" right now , it came to mind for me.

I will gladly explain; certainly every week a theme is chosen for all of us to express ourselves through music, however it is not an obligation that what is presented to us is related to the theme, but it would be ideal.
First, in the title of your video, you must put Hive Open Mic Week ____ (write the number of the current week) and then put the title of the song and tell us if it is a cover or an original song. Let's do the example with this presentation that you made, it would be like this:
Hive Open Mic Week 129 / September Song (Cover) By @jerrytsuseer
When you start your video you must say before starting to play your song: Hive Open Mic week ____ (it also mentions the current week) say your username and start with your presentation, if you want to say a few words before performing, you can do so.
In the written part of your post, you must tell us why you chose your song and relate it (if you wish) to the theme of the week...
This is mainly the requirements to publish with us, and later if we have to make any observations or suggestions, they will be made in the comments of your video, your presentation is also commented on since we like to enjoy everyone's work!!!

NOWHERE do I see a list of guidelines. Rather I see post after post being congratulated mostly in Spanish it seems.

In the comment I just made before this I explain. When promoting your link is mentioned, it means that in the post where the weekly theme is published, you must place the link to your video there so that the other artists visit you and when it refers to practicing deep listening it means that it will be very important listen to other users' presentations and kindly leave them comments about their presentations.
