Greetings to the Hive Open Mic community. The theme for this week's musical live performance on the hive is 'La Union', which means ' The Union'.
I will be presenting a song from the 'Everyday' album of Xmon titled 'We are heirs of the father'.
From my perspective, this song talks about us being one as a family in the body of Christ. We are all one, and that unity makes us one. The song speaks of how we are all part of a single family, with God as our Father. It emphasizes the need to come together as a community and to be unified in our faith. It also speaks to the idea of how we are all responsible for protecting and caring for one another, especially those who are most vulnerable in our society. So, I feel it fits the theme well.
I've known this song since I was much younger. I was just a little girl at that time in my church's children's choir.
It was our children's teacher that introduced the song to us as a family song. Until this day, I have only ever sung the first part of the song. I mean the part that says 'we are heirs of the father'.
For my presentation, I looked up the song lyrics online and found it here.
To be honest, I couldn't master all those lyrics at once, so I sang along while stylishly looking at my PC's screen.
I also downloaded the song online from tubidy.mobi.
After downloading it, I extracted the instrumentals using the Moises.ai musical app
The song has a lot of covers online, so I had to choose one I felt comfortable with. Funny thing is that I didn't see an instrumental cover I liked. Therefore, I had to use the Moises app to get the instrumentals of that particular song I chose.
As you can see in the video, I was sweating profusely. All thanks to the unreliable power supply in my area and the hot weather during this period. Despite drying the sweat several times, more kept coming out.
I'm glad that despite how busy the week has been, I can join in this week.

I wanted to ask you something, I know your voice really well, the other voices that are heard belong to the track you downloaded or are harmonies that you made to accompany the main voice? I ask because I tried to download the track from the link you left in your post and I could not, I wanted to know if those voices belonged to the track mainly because of how loud they are heard.
You sang very well, I felt your voice, something I would recommend for presentations where more voices are heard, is that you play with yours going a little out of the rhythmic pattern, as many gospel singers do to better distinguish your performance because your voice is beautiful and should be above the track you use!!!

All the voices are mine.
I downloaded the main song from the site I sourced, then I used the Moises app to get the instrumentals. The Moises app allows anyone to completely turn down the volume of the vocal and leave the instrumentals to play alone.
I first recorded the melody and, later recorded other parts to make the harmony. I used the strategy you explained.
After recording them in my phone, I transferred it to my PC and edited them using the audacity software. That is to say, I have the mp3 files of the voices separately.
It was difficult for me to add the music on the audacity app, so after editing them, I sent it back to my phone and did my final edit using inshot. I added the music to the shot app.
I could send you the unedited recording I did on discord so you would confirm it. I could also send the instrumentals I sang along with. In summary, all the voices you heard, (Soprano, Auto, Tenor) were my voice.
There was no vocal from the main track. 🙂
