Hello to all the enthusiasts and friends of this great #hive platform and of course to the #openmic community. Gladly my return to present you a very beautiful theme in Bolero rhythm. One of those immortal songs that will always be in the hearts of those who like good music full of beautiful melodies as the theme that I interpret this time in week 62 "Canción Curativa". It is always a pleasure to accompany you in these days where anyone who dares can show us his talent and musical potential.
"Ernesto Duarte Brito (Jovellanos (Cuba), November 7, 1922 - Madrid, Spain, March 4, 1988) was a Cuban musician, author of the bolero Cómo fue, which achieved fame in the interpretation of Benny Moré, and of which countless versions have later been made around the world."[source from Wikipedia].
He studied the instrument in his native Matanzas and completed his musical studies at the Conservatory of Havana, where he had traveled in 1937; like Dr. Belisario López Rossi, flutist and lawyer, he began a professional career parallel to music, studying philosophy and letters, but in this case he had not concluded this dream, product of the multiple commitments that music generated.
By 1943 he had already joined the Lebatard Brothers Orchestra, directed by the saxophonist German Lebatard, apparently as a substitute for Jose Curbelo, who was already a member of the famous Riverside Orchestra and then headed for the United States; After this internship, Duarte joined the Continental Orchestra in 1947 and then joined the ephemeral but successful Colonial group, where he gave us his first great contribution as composer of the song "Arrímate cariñito", interpreted by Nelo Sosa.

De esos temas inmortales que siempre estarán en los corazones de los que les gusta la buena música cargada de hermosas melodías como el tema que les interpreto esta vez en la semana 62 "Canción Curativa". Es placentero siempre acompañarlos en estas jornadas donde todo aquél que se atreva puede mostrarnos su talento y potencialidad musical.

Estudio el instrumento en su natal Matanzas y complemento sus estudios musicales en el Conservatorio de la Habana, a donde había viajado en 1937; al igual que el Dr. Belisario López Rossi, Flautista y abogado, inicio una carrera profesional paralela a la música, estudiando Filosofía y letras, sin que en este caso hubiese concluido este sueño, producto que los múltiples compromisos que la música le generaba.
Ya para 1943 había hecho parte de la Orquesta de Los Hermanos Lebatard, dirigida por el Saxofonista Germán Lebatard, al parecer como sustituto de José Curbelo que ya hacia transito en la afamada Orquesta Riverside y luego se enrumba hacia los Estado unidos; hecha esta pasantía; Duarte pasa por la Orquesta Continental en el 1947 y luego se vincula al efímero pero exitoso conjunto Colonial, allí nos regala su primer gran aporte como compositor del tema “Arrímate cariñito”, interpretado por Nelo Sosa.
