HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 176 | THEME: GRATITUDE | ACOUSTIC COVER OF "IMELA" BY NATHANIEL BASSEY
Greetings, wonderful members of the Hive Open Mic community. I extend a warm welcome to my humble blog. I trust you are gradually preparing for the weekend. My hope is that you will have a remarkable experience that inspires gratitude.
Speaking of gratitude, I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to my brother and friend, Mr. @ernesto6402, who happens to be the featured artist for this week. A tremendous thank you to him for curating such a thoughtful and timely theme.
I convey these sentiments because lately, I have encountered numerous reasons for which I wish to express gratitude—reasons that make me truly grateful. On one hand, I am appreciative of my friends, well-wishers, and family. On the other hand, I am deeply thankful to the Almighty God, who has made all the blessings in my life possible.
Moved by these considerations, especially in the context of this week's theme centered around gratitude, I find myself reflecting on the words of the psalmist in Psalm 92:1 (NIV), where he proclaims, "It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High." This verse encourages us to understand that expressing gratitude to God is indeed a commendable action.
Furthermore, I wish to underscore the importance of extending gratitude to those deserving of it—especially to those who have supported us in various ways. As I conclude my contemplation, I am reminded of a well-known saying in my dialect: "Etoo dike an nke omere, omekwa ozoo." This adage signifies that when we acknowledge and celebrate someone for their accomplishments, it motivates them to strive for even greater achievements.
Consequently, in alignment with this week's theme, I am delighted to present a song of gratitude by Nathaniel Bassey titled "IMELA," which translates to "You have done well." This song beautifully conveys appreciation to God. Please join me as I express my gratitude through music, following the advice of the psalmist in Psalm 92.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!!!
