Yes, in fact this song in its original version is much slower, but Carlos Vives revived it and turned it into a fusion of rock, cumbia and vallenato, he is a genius composer and one of the greatest exponents of Colombian music. I got to know his music in the 90s thanks to my dad who is from the coastal region where this musical style predominates a lot.
