Catharanthus roseus is commonly known as bright eyes, cape periwinkle, graveyard plant, Madagascar periwinkle, pink periwinkle, old maid & rose periwinkle, which is a species of flowering plant in the family of Apocynaceae.
It is native & endemic to Madagascar, but usually grown elsewhere as an ornamental & medicinal plant around the globe.

Used medicinally for relieving muscle pain, used for applying on wasp stings & to heal wounds, also depression of the central nervous system. Its application benefits ranges widely from the prevention of diabetes to treatment of stomach ache.
