My sister-in-law is very appreciative and she does love them! :) I do this because of the joy she gets from it. It is always nice when you can give something that makes another so happy.
You are looking to work in the US? I can understand it as at one point I was living in Europe and was looking to stay there longer and work for a while. I did not, but, it was fun thinking about it. It all worked out and I am happy with the way life worked out.

No actually my country will allow me visa when someone from US will send me work proposal with some papers or valid documents. I want work visa to go there and then I can continue my freelancing as always. I need visa not work actually. My plan to move US in future and I need a reason to go there.
