When I went into the garden to look at spring and things, the Queen was alive. As I was cooking supper, the news came through that she had died. I'm not ready to reflect on this. Although I am glued to the news. So.

I am hoping against hope for lime marmalade in the new season - from our own tree!
One day, I shall write about my jasmine memories.
I hope to have all of these survive and thrive: I have plans. Now, we hope the mouse birds and guineafowl stay away. I worry they won't because as the empty plots fill with new houses and orchards disappear, so does their food. It's progress. I don't have to like it.
Continuing the homegrown, garden, quasi agricultural theme from the last post, supper was poached eggs (hen's and duck eggs, delivered yesterday) with a salad that included our broad beans dressed with a fresh mint vinaigrette.
Perhaps tomorrow, or Sunday, I'll share my thoughts about the Queen and how she's been a permanent fixture in my life. Or not. We'll see.
