Down sizing feeling more comfortable always a massive decision, sure to be making similar one day soon.
Not going back is wise, new owners change things familiar to you, simply ends up upsetting one.

You'll know when the time is right for you to scale down. You're doing the same as I did, caught up with jobs hubby wanted to do but wasn't well enough to do. Enjoy getting all that done.
