This week is fast running away from me as has the month of June and in fact also the whole of 2022!
Tuesday was the Summer Solstice and so our days are getting less long now which is a shame, but it is still light around ten pm, so one cannot complain!
The weather however, has been pretty variable but not summery at all. Cloudy more or less with the odd four minute sighting of the sun. I was hoping to see the full moon week, well not a chance!
Last week after I was at the hospital I took a stroll in Kirkcaldy High Street.
The blooming tram nearly ran me over, I forgot to look for it!
Joking aside, although I did take that picture last week, it was of course not 2022 but depicts a scene from many years ago, it is amazing what you can do with a time machine🤣
I had been given a new type of injection for my arthritis and was feeling a bit worse for wear, so decided a treat was in order.
The treat was a Scottish breakfast, and knowing @coquicoin had not had haggis yet, I had some for Eli, and knowing @fionasfavourites misses black pudding I had some for Fiona as well. The things that I do to keep the fellow Silver Bloggers admin team happy, I tell you!
I had a gammon steak yesterday but will not bore you with another food picture.
The treat was in a pub called The Robert Nairn that I had the breakfast in. It actually used to be an old bank building (TSB) and was named after one of the infamous Nairn family who put Kirkcaldy on the map with linoleum. Robert actually donated the land to the Trustee Savings Bank (now known simply as TSB).
I have been there quite a few times as the food is always pretty reasonably priced. tasty and they have a great selection.
I will be getting these injections for the foreseeable future on a Wednesday to see if works. The joys of saying yes to be a guinea pig! So as a reward I have decided to treat myself to a weekly meal out there.
It is a pretty large building, and this only shows about a quarter of it. Next time I might even let you see the print that I took the picture from.
Of course, it all depends if I can get the time machine up and running again!

Oh it is a great place to see Armando, the breakfast was good, the beans weren't spicy though. Mexican, well I often make me breakfast burritos that have some refried pinto beans in them :)

As I know someone who was run over by a bus, it's not a joke to me any more. Seriously, he was in Cancun, went out for a run and, bam! Mashed his shoulder... so look out for those trams.
I do hope that this treatment works for you. Even my little bit of age- and injury-induced arthritis is uncomfortable so I cannot imagine what you have to deal with. Here's to hoping.

Actually when I came back from Spain they had finally finished the trams project in Edinburgh, and it took me a few days to get used them. Ouch a bus now that could do someone some damage!
Oh well if it eases pain it is a bonus if not just an uncomfortable jab, but a treat I get.

Haggis, well most people will have in the evening with mashed potatoes and mashed turnip, I like it for breakfast as well!

I've been a few times to Scotland and had a Scottish breaky, but don't remember if I took the haggis or not. i thought it was like the Irish white pudding.
This is where it gets confusing. Generally, most places will give you black pudding. Then some add haggis and some have fruit pudding which is like a white pudding. I love white pudding but that is rare to get, and then you can get red pudding too!

Hehheheh! I am just like you. Once I go through stress or a challenging period in my life, I feel a treat is needed and I spoil myself silly. I don't even know why I have that mentality but seeing that you do same gives me some level of comfort😄😄.
I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis though, I hope you get better soon. As for that picture, if you hadn't shared that it was taken last week, I would have argued that it must have been taken sometimes in the 60s. It's truly amazing what a time machine can do.
June is indeed running very fast as well as the year. I don't even know if we have longer day or night but I'd love a longer night so I can sleep more 😄😄😄

Yes I remember working and living over there, and I could not get over how it was never really light in the evenings unlike the summers in Scotland!
