The bird migration is in full swing and birds fly back to the southern parts of the planet, some of these birds stop by at ponds and river shores for some rest and for food. This is always a good opportunity to take some pictures of them. I don't even need to drive that far for some places where I can find interesting birds like these. Although these birds can be found more easily during bird migration it is still a litte more difficult to get close to them than in spring.
In Spring they display themself to find a mating partner and therefore don't pay so much attention to humans. They don't flee that easy and it is a lot easier to get close to them in spring.
