Birds of prey are still one of the most interesting birds for me to photograph and eventhoug I like Eagles and Kites more than the falcon, the falcon is a lot easier to find and I have a lot more pictures of them. Since whenever I see them I probably take a picture eventhough I already have a lot of pictures of them, but I can always get a better picture so I don't stop taking pictures of them. Falcons are very nice to watch, when you spotted one then you can often easily get closer without it fleeing. Since they sit on higher and exposed perches they can be seen from far away and they also don't fear you so much.

This pictures of the falcon here where taken during a photography trip to Vienna and on a spot where Karin and Gerhard wanted to show us some Macro Photography with butterflies. It is near a Wine garden and the soil is very good there for insects and mice. This is probably also a reason why a lot of falcons hunt their prey there and it is easier to get a picture of the falcons there than on many other spots I know.

Amazing shots!! I love it when the bird is a cooperative subject. This one looks like it is even showing off for the camera

@florian-glechner Awesome clicks of the Common Kestrel. I especially like the one with green background and the one in hover mode.
