pond life

in Feathered Friends2 years ago

Hello, and greetings all friends. here is my post for the @qurator photo-quest pond-life.
Pond the natural water storage or artificial. Some creatures have a connection with it.
In India when heavy monsoons come, non-stop rain creates ponds all over, because of deep sandy ground close to the sea makes water storage even in our backyard full of water which rose around 1 meter high. and sometimes we enjoy watching birds, frogs, different kinds of insects, even small fish and pond shells. but we don't have photos of frogs and insects sorry for that. The post should be very interesting with frog photos.
Close to our house, one open place becomes a big pond from the end of June to September. After the rain stops the water level goes down and after November there is very shallow water around the bank and deep in the center and still a lot of pond life activities around. Here are some glimpses of pond life from two different ponds one close to our house. and one in our backyard.

Openbill and pond heron wading in the pond.

The water lilies make the pond beautiful. mostly in deep water.

Indian buffalos pond is their very favorite place for them. they love to enjoy swimming in the pond. but it is an evening they going back home.

This is the photo of the pond.

If water is shallow they like to sit in the water. but it was time to go back home.

Whistling ducks are very seldom able to see them. only certain periods.

Again water lilies and other small flowers kind of lilies looks like a feather that grows in water.

Glossy ibis and moorhen. they often show up they don't need so much water so until march we can find them.

White-throated kingfisher wading and some native ducks go around often.

I like this wild kingdom they don't fight like us humans. they find their suitable places where they belong and enjoy themselves with their groups. and cooperate with each other.

Some fish we noticed in it. they are very small very tiny in one corner.

During the monsoon, our backyard looks like.

The cormorant in our garden backyard.

And at one corner of the backyard, we found these Indian- silverbills taking a bath which surprises us.

thank you 🙏 for enjoying pond life.

There are various plants and animals. they are all so beautiful and special.🐕🐶♥️🤍🌺🌼 but heavy rain sometimes negatively affects life, can cause floods and landslides.

You took very good pictures of the animals. Thanks for this nice share🌼🌺😊✨

It is true but that area we live in is well protected by nature sand and farms suck the water. Sometimes it floods but nature takes care of it. And mostly the floods affect the big towns where they destroy nature and made big buildings all around. Thank you for stopping by greetings😊

You are very right, in fact, humans destroy nature the most. You also have a command of the geography of where you live.of course you know better.Thank you. Have a good day🌸

Have a nice weekend 😊
