One of my favorite residents to find on the lawn, although not as often as the other birds I see. I enjoy encounter Northern Flickers, they are a bit more shy than all the other birds, often not quite as loud and seem to just go about their business looking for whatever food they can on the ground. Occasionally I will see a nesting pair and it makes me happy to see that they have eachother.
