Surely you will find a photo here that you love. That is of course if you love the sea and its birds!
11 photos that I have strung together to show you the beauty of ocean life!
The ocean is a gift to all of us, a free gift that not only feeds many nations, but also offers us many leisure and sporting opportunities.
Besides, it is also a psychologist that can still our troubled minds and breathe new life into our souls!
Come and have a look!
The flight that signals freedom at the ocean!
This guy reminds me of how we test the water temperature before we jump in for a swim 🤣
The Little egret (Egretta garzetta) strikes and the gull above it is hovering to try and steal whatever the egret gets!
But no such luck, as the egret is not sharing!
Note that the mauve patch at the top of his beak and the elongated plumes on his head means that he is a breeding egret!
The egret swallowed his catch and headed off to greener pastures!
So, the Grey-Headed Gull (Chroicocephalus cirrocephalus) decided to land on a rock and to wait for the next fisherman (bird)!
Look at the design on the wings of the Grey-Headed Gull!
Ah, my favorites, a pair of White-Winged Terns (Chlidonias leucopterus)
And now to show you some later sunshine shots of birds in flight!
Finally a closer look at a Kelp Gull (Larus dominicanus)
Freedom is what we all strive for and that's why so many of us are in Hive.
Searching for a way to unshackle ourselves from the stringent bonds of the regulated financial systems that are bleeding us all dry. Regulated to enrich a minority in luxury, while the rest of the "masses" face struggles every day.
Freedom is ours to take in a decentralized system where ownership is bestowed upon every participating member and this ownership entitles us to build a new world together.
So, if your family or your friends are not on Hive, do your best to get them on Hive and let's all build together.
Think about it!
And That's All Friends!
I leave you with this to think about!
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new”!

The second photo is my favourite of all these cool bird shots here, because the seagull is looking directly to you to see if you are taking the photo correctly ... and of course you did, Zac 😄

Hahaha, I thought that the seagull was employed by the ministry of pollice and that he was going to ask me for my permit 🤣
Cheers and thanks!
Oh no, she looked quite nice, I could even notice a little smile 😉

"She"???
How would you feel if someone called you Mrs. Piber? 🤣
That gull is a Mr. and I think that he feels very aggrieved that you are calling him a "she" 🤣
I know that he is a "he" by the way that he looked at the young ladies, a very sort of "mountain goat" look 🤣
Cheers and thanks!
A seagull is a "she" here - "die Seemöwe", no matter if the gull is male or female. I think we have had this theme a while ago ... a goat is female, but a female goat would be a "Geiß" and a male / billy goat would be a "Bock" or "Ziegenbock" 😁

Ah! Got you with this one Hannes.
I am well aware that you guys call a he a she and I thought that I would rag you a bit.
Hope that I got a smile at my smart remark and that you didn't throw one of the cats out of the window in your anger 🤣
Cheers and thanks!
Haha, no, the cats are still here 😂
Whenever I write about an animal I think "should I write 'he' or 'she', or should I write 'it' like you all do?"
But German is even more complicated. So a (female) chicken is a "Henne", a "she", but you can call the same Henne also "Huhn" what would be a "it", don't ask me why. A pig is always a "it" 😁

.The one with the little fishy in its mouth is awesome!
Thank you and that one is called an Egret.
I love to watch him hunting and he is very elegant.
Blessings!
The water trail that egret is leaving behind is awesome! Fabulous photos!
Thank you milady and one has to catch him as he rises from the sea which is always not an easy thing. But I do ocassionally get it right 🤣
Blessings!

Thank you for the badge and blessings to your work.
Ha ha Yes!
You're welcome @papilloncharity 😄😉👍
Wonderful pictures that convey the whole atmosphere of the coastal part.😊The egret has such a pure white plumage, just mesmerizing!
Thank you and that egret is indeed very photogenic my friend.
A real elegant bird!
Egret is so elegant in his Sunday best, vagabond seagulls always waiting in the wings for a hand out, go fish for yourself you lazy guy!
Terns taking turns playing the rocks between the waves a lovely capture, most enjoyable day down on the sea once again Stephen.
Oh yeah, you see it like I do Lady Joan and thhere is always something going on at the beach.
I read a story about a killer whale that made his appearance in the bay and a pity that I was not around. I didn't know that one can see the Southern Right whales also here in the bay and willl be keeping an eye out.
Blessings and today I have a !BEER
Sadly we don't have time to sit and watch the world go past quietly, always happens when you not looking 😃 Thanks for the !BEER
No time my friend and even though we don't believe in sitting around, some things are so designed that we will always miss them.
But I say that there is always a next time.
Blessings!

.Such beautiful and inspiring photos on a topic I love - birds in flight!
I got a chuckle out of the photo of the gull testing the water - thanks for the smiles!
Thank you my friend and we share that love. I have many photos of birds in flight and the neatest flyer that I like is the big Sacred Ibis.
Yeah, that testing of the water wasn't real as the bird saw something that looked like food, but I saw some humor in it lol.
