I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on Feathered Friends contest Round 247. The bird seen in today's post and in the photographs above is the Indian Roller. Today I am making another post on this bird, which is why I have written The Indian Roller Bird-2 in the title. This bird looks very beautiful chirping. As seen in the photograph above, the bird is sitting peacefully on a small mound of earth surrounded by dry grass and open land. The natural background and warm light make the colors of the bird more vivid. It can be guessed from this photograph that this bird gives a peaceful and refreshing feeling. I hope that my post and photographs of the Indian Roller Bird will be eligible for the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 247 which is being run by @nelinoeva .
The Indian Roller bird can be easily identified by its bright blue wings and tail, brown head and chest. As can be seen in the photograph above, the bright blue feathers of the bird shine softly in the golden sunlight. The fine lines of brown and white on the chest of this bird add to its beauty. This bird is alert and curious. Here in the photograph, the bird seen is looking upwards as if it is looking at something in the sky. This bird is commonly found in open fields, fields, meadows and forest edges. The environment seen in these photographs perfectly matches the natural habitat of this bird, such as dry soil, scattered bushes and patches of grass.
This type of landscape helps the Indian Roller to hunt for its food easily. The mound on which this bird is sitting seems to act as a good vantage point to watch the movements on the ground. A special feature of the Indian Roller is its beautiful flight. When it spreads its wings, bright blue stripes are visible.
