Birds from the coast.

in Feathered Friends3 years ago

I often see these birds near the coast, where bushes and tall grass grow densely.

🔶The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)

There are a huge number of subspecies of these birds, over 50, and they differ literally in little things. But still, I think I correctly identified the species. This is most likely a young bird, a teenager, so it does not yet have a contrasting black plumage on its head.

🔶The Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus)

As I said before, "montanus" means wild. This type of sparrow, in contrast to the house sparrow, lives either on the very outskirts of the city, or in villages. With us, they often spend time on the coast, examining shrubs and pebbles.

🔶The willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus)

This bird can live in forests, and sometimes in open space. She nests just in the bush, making a nest on the ground. Sometimes, when I pass by the bushes, these birds squeak alarmingly, but do not show themselves, they hide in the depths of the bushes.

🔶The European goldfinch or simply the goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)

These guys love wormwood and burdock, so sometimes their flock ends up on the coast. They land on plants and eat away their sprouts and seeds. At these moments, they enjoy their food so much that it is easy to sneak up on them.

🔶The spotted flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

I have met this bird only on the banks, and it is strange. It seems that she should live in the forests.
