🦉 The willow tit (Poecile montanus)

📚 Poecile poikilis (Greek) an unidentified small bird mentioned in ancient texts
📚 montanus (lat .) : mōns, montis mountain, mountain range, montanus mountain

These nimble tits can be found at any time of the year, and in large numbers in any forest. They are easily recognized by their hoarse calls and gentle whistling songs in the spring.

But in the summer it may seem that they lead an inconspicuous lifestyle. This is true, because they already have other concerns besides finding food, this is feeding the fledglings and training them for adulthood. Therefore, in summer they are quite quiet and it is not so easy to find them.
