The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

After a harsh cold winter, as soon as the sun begins to warm and melt the snow, males of chaffinch arrive. And the whole forest is filled with their memorable spring songs. This is how they designate and defend their territory.
Females arrive later, and the mating season begins. Males sing with all their might, thereby attracting females, and also sometimes arrange fights among themselves if someone flew into their territory, and can even fight with other species of birds. I witnessed the chaffinch attacking the brambling I was photographing.
After pairing and hatching of nestlings, chaffinches stop singing. They are busy with their children. And only occasionally you can hear their calls, which are very similar to the calls of great tits.

@ratel, These creatures are nature's Musicians. Stay blessed.

Хорошо зяблик поёт. У нас по весне можно было услышать прекрасные трели этих красивых птиц.

A very happy melody! I only recognize a few birds by their songs, but this one would be quite recognizable. Thanks for sharing it with Feathered Friends!
