🦉 The citrine wagtail (Motacilla citreola)

📚 Motacilla lat .: mōto, mōtare move continuously, -cilla tail (cilla like a tail - only in ornithology, erroneous established name.
     citreola lat .: citrus, citreus citrus, citreolus lemon color

These bright birds do not live in my city. But every year, on May 1, during a big public weekend, I go to visit my relatives in a neighboring region. There are practically no forests, there is only steppe all around, and flooded meadows. And outside the city there are just huge expanses of flooded meadows. These birds live there.
Unlike her close relative - the white wagtail, this wagtail is quite shy, and it is not so easy to make a couple of shots close up. I had to hide in the thickets and wait for the bird to come to me.

Очень интересная трясогузка. Раскрас оперения головки и брюшка очень оригинальны, лимонного цвета. Супер.

Nice wagtail. I have never seen it. It is rarity in the Central Europe.
