🦉 Hybrid of The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella) and The pine bunting (Emberiza leucocephalos)
Oh, it's you again. Again in the same place by the spring in the ravine.
I googled about this phenomenon and found out that such a hybrid can even be isolated into a separate population. Obviously, this event is not entirely rare.
In this case, the signs of hybridization are extremely little noticeable, from the parent, the pine bunting, only a mustache and a few spots remained. Such hybrids are divided into yellow and white.
So we can say this bird is closer to the yellowhammer. Something like this:
Yellowhammer 75%
Pine bunting 25%
