We went to feed large carp at a pond and got interrupted for this #featheredfriday

A pair of Canada geese were the main culprits that stopped our fish feeding plans.

The water was a bit cold and the carp were quite slow. They only got a couple of bites in before getting stepped on by the Geese.

The female of the goose pair was somewhat aggressive and wouldn't let her mate or any of the fish eat any food.

Then a pair of mallards saw the geese were eating something and decided to head over to see if they could snag anything.

The male goose and male mallard just stood by letting their mates eat all the food. If they tried to get anything they were promptly snapped at.

Now the female mallard and the goose were biting each other. I devised a plan to throw fish food in a large span of four corners to divide them from causing chaos.

Finally the males got something to eat. I really wanted to just get all the birds out of the way to feed the fish but the fish were too sluggish to get any bites in.

I suspect others have fed these guys and they even took food out of my daughter's hand without biting. I suspect the ducks would have done the same if there wasn't the female domineering goose biting them all the time lol.
That's all for now, I'll have to see if these pairs are still here in the spring and will bring their babies by.
