Shame on you, Hunter! You're supposed to kill MICE, leave the birds alone!
Позор вам, Охотница! Ты должен убивать МЫШЕЙ, оставь птиц в покое!
Of course, I can't stop her. She likes a challenge, and mice just don't offer one. The best I can do is rescue the birds she catches. I'll admit, I didn't think this one was going to make it. The bird had blood in its mouth, and couldn't even stand up.

It took a while, but the bird began to recover.

Once the bird started moving its feet again, I had it perch on my finger, where it remained for the next ten minutes or so, catching its breath.

I also took a selfie with the bird, and I almost got the cat in the background:

...which I then proceeded to combine with the first photo in order to make the thumbnail, while also including what the cat was obviously thinking (what the hell, human?!), as well as what I imagine the bird would ask me if it could (that monster is your friend?!).

The bird eventually flew off. Hunter gave chase, but the bird was out of her reach. A few days later, I rescued another bird, but not from the cat. I'll share pictures of that one next.

Суровые законы природы. Слава богу этой птичке повезло. Надеюсь в будущем охотница всё-таки займётся ловлей мышек а не птичек. 🙂
