Last month I was in Dalaguete, Cebu for a training and as one of the resource speakers. It was a very productive and fruitful week. The said training served as an avenue to meet old and new friends. According to Healing Brave "Each new friendship can make you a new person, because it opens up new doors inside of you," This wonderful quote struck me when I suddenly recalled a moment with my newfound friends during the revised K-10 training in Dalaguete, Cebu. Revised K-10 is the new curriculum for this S.Y. 2025-2026 for grades 5 and 8. This was the second year of implementation which is why the training was intended for grades 5 and 8 teachers only. We already had our training at San Remigio for the Northern part and for the Southern part was in Dalaguete, Cebu. During the said activity, I was one of the resource speakers together with the other resource speakers from various schools. The activity not only enhanced my career as a Master Teacher 2 but I also gained a lot of newfound friends. Aside from being so diligent with our task we also find time to unwind and refresh even at night and stroll along the Baywalk in Dalaguete, Cebu.
After having our midnight snacks, we strolled around to see the beautiful places in their town. We went to the plaza and to some other places with beautiful landscapes where we saw many people who also strolled that night. We then realized that Dalaguete is such a beautiful town in the southern part of Cebu. It's known as the vegetable basket of the province and is known for the beautiful Obong Spring. The people of Dalaguete are very kind and respectful and I'm sure that if you visit the place you are safe and secure.
Those are the places in the heart of the town where we visited. It's clean and a nice place for relaxation and bonding. I'm thankful to my newfound friends for the time we shared and for having fun with them that night. It's a wonderful moment to cherish and remember forever.
