Hoy quiero escribir un poco sobre un grupo juvenil al que pertenecí, y en mi opinión, pertenezco.
De hecho realice un pequeño dibujo, el cual pinte con una técnica diferente.
Se trata de Antorcha.

Today I want to write a little bit about a youth group to which I belonged, and in my opinion, I belong.

Este grupo significa mucho para mí. Allí comencé una formación personal y católica. Realmente fue fabulosa para mí.
Tuve la oportunidad de ir a retiros, campamentos, conciertos, eventos, encuentro; y compartir con jóvenes de otros lados. Respeto mucho a todas las personas que forman parte y se dedican a enseñarnos.
Hubo un momento en donde un grupo de personas decidieron no continuar en Antorcha. Eso me marco mucho, me entristeció. Pero hubo alguien que continuó apoyándome, dándome ánimo para seguir creyendo en el grupo.
A la larga, el párroco en ese momento, tomo la decisión de que Antorcha no podía continuar, y dijo una frase que no se me olvida, “llover sobre mojado”. En el momento no lo entendía, de verdad, tenía rabia y dolor. No lo quería superar.
Pero con el paso del tiempo fui entendiendo ciertas cosas y fui perdonando y sanando.
Antorcha significa mucho para mí. De hecho, todavía guardo la camisa. Conozco y mantengo amistad con las personas que formaron parte de este grupo.

This group means a lot to me. I started a personal and Catholic formation there. It was really fabulous for me.
I had the opportunity to go to retreats, camps, concerts, events, meetings, and to share with young people from other places. I have a lot of respect for all the people who take part and dedicate themselves to teach us.
There was a moment when a group of people decided not to continue in Antorcha. That marked me a lot, it saddened me. But there was someone who continued to support me, encouraging me to continue believing in the group.
In the long run, the pastor at that time, made the decision that Antorcha could not continue, and he said a phrase that I will never forget, "rain on the rain". At the time I didn't understand it, I really had rage and pain. I did not want to get over it.
But as time went by I understood certain things and I was forgiving and healing.
Antorcha means a lot to me. In fact, I still keep the shirt. I know and maintain friendships with the people who were part of this group.

El grupo tiene una frase, la cual es parte de una canción. “Somos sal y luz del mundo”. Y por esta frase, digo que sigo siendo parte de Antorcha, porque llevo esa frase marcada en el corazón y trato día a día de cumplir lo que dice.
También teníamos un himno, una canción llamada “Uno”. Solíamos cantarla juntos, en cualquier momento. Y será por eso que a pesar de las distancias considero que estamos unidos, aunque sea para decirnos hola.
Ojala cada uno de Antorcha pueda leer esto, que quizás lo he realizado con nostalgia y mucho amor.
Aquí voy a colocar el dibujo que realice y pinte con papel crepe de color rojo y amarillo.

The group has a phrase, which is part of a song. "We are salt and light of the world". And because of this phrase, I say that I am still part of Antorcha, because I carry that phrase marked in my heart and I try day by day to fulfill what it says.
We also had a hymn, a song called "Uno". We used to sing it together, at any time. And that is why, in spite of the distances, I consider that we are united, even if it is only to say hello to each other.
I hope that each one of Antorcha can read this, that maybe I have done it with nostalgia and a lot of love.
