Hoy les hablare sobre mi visita en familia a un hermoso e interesante pueblo que se encuentra a 10 minutos del sector donde vivo, es un sitio turístico del Estado Táchira, y tiene por nombre “Peribeca”, conservan la tradición y cordialidad de recibir cada fin de semana a todos los turistas y visitantes. Lo interesante es el estilo colonial de sus casas, las calles empedradas, la arquitectura y una hermosa iglesia.
Se dice que fue fundado en el siglo XVII; Su gente se conoce como personas amables y serviciales que ofrecen en las puertas de sus casas comida casera criolla, dulces, tortas, licores artesanales, entre muchos otros productos. Lo he visitado un montón de veces en mi vida, tiene todo lo que puedes imaginar para disfrutar en familia, alejados de la ciudad. Si algún día tienen en su lista visitar el estado Táchira en Venezuela, es recomiendo este interesante lugar. Les cuento que mi jefe es ciudadano americano, pero su esposa es venezolana, y el siempre menciona los buenos momento que ha vivido al visitar peribeca, quedó derretido ante el sabor de la popular “Cachapa con queso de mano” y los licores artesanales.

Yo fui este 25 de diciembre con mis familiares, valerie ya conoce todas las atracciones que hay en el lugar y el paseo a caballo, así que estaba super emocionada por llegar al lugar. Una de las cosas que encuentras al llegar es una pareja con disfraces de Mickey y Minnie Mouse, le pedimos tomarnos una foto para el recuerdo. Luego seguimos caminando y nos topamos con un espacio para los niños con inflables, cama elástica y piscina de pelotas, como ya saben a mi bebé le gusta la piscina con pelotas y solo quiso jugar allí por un momento.
Luego seguimos recorriendo deleitamos unas deliciosas obleas con dulce de leche, coco rallado, lluvia de chocolate y de colores. En el camino nos encontramos con la hermosa estructura de la iglesia del pueblo, con advocación a la virgen del Carmen de peribeca, construida de piedras y unas grandes puertas de madera, que hace recuerdo a las estructuras arquitectónicas de siglos pasados. Justo al lado nos encontramos con el mágico “Portal de Antaño” donde se encuentra parte de la economía y gran variedad de recuerdos, adornos, artesanía y más comida. En este portal se encuentra un centro colorido y llamativo, donde todos se toman una foto para recordar la visita al pueblo.

Then we continued walking and we came across a space for children with inflatables, trampoline and ball pool, as you know my baby likes the ball pool and just wanted to play there for a moment.
Then we continued our tour and enjoyed some delicious wafers with dulce de leche, shredded coconut, chocolate and colorful rain. On the way we found the beautiful structure of the village church, dedicated to the virgin of Carmen de Peribeca, built of stones and large wooden doors, reminiscent of the architectural structures of past centuries. Right next to it we find the magical "Portal de Antaño" where you can find part of the economy and a great variety of souvenirs, ornaments, handicrafts and more food. In this portal is a colorful and striking center, where everyone takes a picture to remember the visit to the town.

Frente a la iglesia nos encontramos con una plaza, esta vez estaba decorada muy bonita con motivo navideño. A un lado de esta se encuentra un puesto de pasteles andinos y el famoso masato, así que decidimos ir a comer allí, había una larga fila de personas, pero valía la pena la espera. Yo pedí unos pastelitos de queso con bocadillo y para valerie uno que queso y masato. Estaban divinos su masa suave y con un sabor único, y el masato ni para que decirles, mi niña se lo tomo casi todo. La atención muy agradable, muy gentiles.
Para los que no saben los pasteles se hacen con una masa, a base de harina de trigo, sal, mantequilla y se pueden rellenar de lo que queramos, arroz con carne, pollo, carne o queso con bocadillo. Y el masato es una bebida a base de arroz , con un fermento de conchas de piña, se cocina todo junto y se le agregan clavos, hojas de geranio y pimienta. Luego se licua, hasta tomar el aspecto de un atole ligero.

I ordered some cheesecakes with a sandwich and for Valerie one with cheese and masato. They were divine, the dough was soft and with a unique flavor, and the masato, my little girl ate almost all of it. The service was very nice, very kind.
For those who do not know the cakes are made with a dough, based on wheat flour, salt, butter and can be filled with whatever we want, rice with meat, chicken, meat or cheese with sandwich. And the masato is a drink based on rice, with a ferment of pineapple shells, everything is cooked together and cloves, geranium leaves and pepper are added. Then it is liquefied until it looks like a light gruel.

Luego fuimos a unos carritos mecánicos pequeños para los niños, valerie se subió y luego no quería bajar. La convencí enseñándole unos dulces.
Ya se hacían alrededor de las 7:00pm, ya estaba oscureciendo y era hora de regresar a casa. Me encanta este lugar, además de estar cerca de donde vivo, puedes ir y desconectarte unas horas de tu día, para disfrutar y descansar del estrés diario, mi visita favorita es siempre y cuando vaya en familia. Tengo 23 años pero amo pasar mi tiempo libre con mi familia, dedicarnos tiempo.
Then we went to some small mechanical carts for the kids, Valerie got on and then didn't want to get off. I convinced her by showing her some candy.
It was already around 7:00pm, it was getting dark and it was time to go home. I love this place, besides being close to where I live, you can go and disconnect a few hours of your day, to enjoy and rest from the daily stress, my favorite visit is as long as I go with my family. I am 23 years old but I love to spend my free time with my family, to dedicate time to each other.
