Everything is set in motion!
A week ago, I wrote about my daughter who was going to miss the first day of school due to us waiting for approval from the municipality. As I mentioned there, I was hoping to get good news within a few days and kept my fingers crossed hoping that she'd be able to attend later that week or the next week tops. It was not until Thursday that we got some good news.
New airco units
This last Thursday was actually quite memorable because several things started moving in the right direction after long waits for all three things. One of them was the replacement of the airco units, even though the outside units were stolen just weeks ago, it felt like months to us because some days it was unbearable inside. When they finally came last Thursday, it felt like an angel came down from heaven when we turned on the new units!
New inside unit
The new ones are better than the previous ones, but as it usually goes in our lives, one of them turned out to be leaking so tomorrow they come to fix it. I was unsure where my extremely weird headache came from in the morning yesterday, it didn't go away all day and it was only because my boyfriend entered the room pointing out he thinks the cool fluid is leaking when I remembered this headache from our first AirBNB. He's right, so we can't use it until it's fixed. It's not such a big deal as both not working because the one in the living room is actually sufficient, we use a fan to blow that cool air into the bedroom now.

It was not that convenient having a new cat (who started to be cuddly a day after these events on Thursday, lol) and making sure that the workers kept the windows closed so Mojo would not escape. I'm quite sure that Mojo was quite spooked at first but thankfully found a hiding spot in the bedroom where I was working behind the bunk bed and under the play kitchen of our daughter. I made sure to check if Mojo was there every 15 mins or so. While I kept an eye on the cat and workers, my boyfriend said he needed some oxygen because it was even worse inside with 3 workers and therefore he walked to the school of our choice to ask for news. They didn't have news but the receptionist looked it up in the system. Great news! She's enrolled in this school just minutes from our home. I was so happy when I heard that. The day was already great, within a few hours we would have cool air again and we knew our daughter would soon attend the school of our choice, this day was one of the best ones in weeks.
Internet issues
The third thing that we had been waiting for ever since we moved in in July, is fast internet. We were told that this router was a temporary one and fiber would take a few weeks. A few weeks turned into a few months and we were told it was just busy at first. Long story short, the guy registering it, did not do it and was now in a coma, so he surely could not do it anymore. We registered it ourselves a week ago, and on this happy Thursday, the first mechanic came to do his part of the job and so we were very close to having fiber internet after waiting for almost 3 months. This day was truly one where things were set into motion, even if all three things were actually not fully completed at the end of the day, we knew the waits were now coming to an end.
Filling in the final paperwork
At least, I assume this was the last round, lol. We had to fill in some forms giving permission to use pictures as well as choosing the religion classes (or different tasks) on top of the student's data and a picture. I made sure to fill everything in and copy all needed documents to deliver them the same day. The morning was super hectic with the cat hiding for the workers and having them in and out during these hours, so it was 1.30 pm when I walked to the school, only to find out there that the reception had just closed minutes ago, sigh. I decided not to feel too bad about it this day was so hectic and we would now have the time to go to a photographer for a recent picture (we didn't have one).
Needed school supplies
When we delivered the documents, I asked for the supply list as I saw those lists the last time I was there but didn't know which was for her class. I made a picture of it and asked if it would be an issue if I can't buy it all this weekend because sometimes things are sold out and I can't get it anywhere near. He immediately said no, no problem! I was relieved and asked when she could start. He said that he'd try Monday, but I already knew that it was going to be a lucky shot if so because he had to get some paperwork done and also depends on another department probably, with the reception only open just a few more hours, I didn't see it happening, and I was right.
We bought most supplies
Thankfully, we got lucky and found most things needed in only one store and I will buy the rest tomorrow when we have to get the needed ticket for the books, which apparently are free as far as I understood. I assume it's going to be ready tomorrow, and really hope she will be able to go to school on Tuesday. At least we will have everything ready and she's actually very excited to go, fingers are crossed they will hurry up now!
Just a few more things left to arrange, tomorrow is going to be a busy day, but probably also one worth it. I'm so curious about how she will experience the first days at her new school. To be continued.

Well at least here it's not as bad as in our first temporary apartment, it was horrible to the point that we could not work when the sky was filled with sand (it is like that daily now actually). At least it works, but if the router arrives, it's this x100 speed :)

Very busy and productive by the sound of it! The school system there sounds quite different from here. I am curious, are uniforms a requirement? Mojo is going to miss her playmate once your daughter starts school.
