Throughout the Bible we discover many names given to God and each of these names manifests an aspect of his character and nature.
We see throughout the New Testament, especially in the four gospels, that the Lord Jesus addresses God as the father. Although many of the names with which God is known speak of his attributes, the name of father conveys greater closeness in terms of relationship. Although Jesus Christ was the son of God for that reason he calls him father, we also have the opportunity to call him father as beloved children.
For this reason the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath,[a] but also said that God was his own Father, making himself equal with God. Truly I tell you: the Son cannot do anything by himself, but what he sees the Father doing; because everything that the Father does, the Son also does equally. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all the things that he does; and greater works than he will show him, so that you may marvel.
John 5.18-20
God is a father to all those who believe in the one I send, that is: Those who believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus, while on earth as one of us, demonstrated by example the type of relationship he had with his father, a close, dependent relationship, asking for direction and obtaining daily provision, with obedience and love. We see that Jesus set aside a time and a place to be in prayer, alone with his father, today our father.
Do you want to have that relationship that God had with Jesus? We not only have the example of Jesus on earth, today we have the entire Bible to understand and put into practice the type of relationship with God, we can confidently approach God, let us remember that God has chosen us before the foundation of the world to let us be his children.

A lo largo de la Biblia descubrimos muchos nombres que se le da a Dios y cada uno de estos nombres manifiesta un aspecto de su carácter y naturaleza.
Vemos a lo largo del nuevo testamento, sobre todo en los cuatro evangelios, que el señor Jesús se dirige a Dios como el padre. Si bien muchos de los nombres con los que se les conoce a Dios hablan de sus atributos, el nombre de padre transmite mayor cercanía en cuanto a la relación. Si bien Jesucristo era el hijo de Dios por esa razón lo llama padre, tenemos la oportunidad nosotros también de llamarle padre como hijos amados.
Por esto los judíos aún más procuraban matarle, porque no solo quebrantaba el día de reposo,[a] sino que también decía que Dios era su propio Padre, haciéndose igual a Dios.Respondió entonces Jesús, y les dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo: No puede el Hijo hacer nada por sí mismo, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que el Padre hace, también lo hace el Hijo igualmente. 20 Porque el Padre ama al Hijo, y le muestra todas las cosas que él hace; y mayores obras que estas le mostrará, de modo que vosotros os maravilléis.
Juan 5.18-20
Dios es por padre a todos aquellos que creen en el que el envío, es decir: Quienes creen en Jesucristo. Jesús, mientras estuvo en la tierra como uno de nosotros demostró con ejemplo el tipo de relación que él mantenía con su padre, una relación cercana, de dependencia, pidiendo dirección y obteniendo la provisión diaria, con obediencia y amor. Vemos que Jesús apartaba un tiempo y un lugar para estar en oración, a solas con su padre, hoy nuestro padre.
¿Desea usted tener esa relación que Dios tenía con Jesús? No sólo tenemos el ejemplo de Jesús en la tierra, hoy tenemos toda la Biblia para entender y poner en práctica el tipo de relación para con Dios, podemos acercarnos confiadamente a Dios, recordemos que Dios nos ha elegido desde antes de la fundación del mundo para que seamos sus hijos.
