Too many things are happening around the world thes days, people are dying, different terror attacks, everything is changing from what we use to know to another thing entirely. The most recent one is Corona virus pandemic (covid-19) which the whole world have recorded over hundreds thousands death in less than five months and the numbers keeps growing but as Christians during this time we grow our faith.
This is not the first pandemic that will happen or a plague, we have heard about few in the past and to be sincere more might still come and that is why as Christians we must be prepared all the times by working on our faith and making God our refuge because the Bible says :
Psalm 91:7-16
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only (A)with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall [a]bear you up,
Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
Thousand will fall but those that remain steadfast with God and have faith in God to be their only protector shall never fall but instead thousand shall fall at their side and by his grace we are save, covid-19 and any other virus or plague are there for God to use to remind us that he is our creator, to show us that all our sinful ways hurt him and sometimes to show us that he is angry, I pray we won't see the wrath of God.
As Christians we must choose God by faith that he is our only protector and that he is all we want. During this time of pandemic he is only one that can save us because we are save by grace and he promised us this to remind us that no pandemic or plague has power over him, everything is just a test of faith and that's why we must always be prepared.
Do not fear God is with us and he will never forsake us even in times of pandemic. With faith all this promise will be ours and nothing can change it, God is sufficient for us.
