Faithfulness: An attitude Every Believer Must Possess

in HeartChurch4 years ago

Hi Heartchurch parishioners and our great mother of the crowd @darlenys01.

Today we will be looking into the last part of the topic we were handling which was about the nature of our relationship with Christ. We had talked about Jesus My Crush and Commitment-an-attitude-every-believer-must-possess.

Let's see faithfulness today.

What is Faithfulness?
According to Wikipedia, faithfulness is defined as the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. The term faithfulness is best defined in the case of marriage as it is exhibited by a husband or wife who, in a sexually exclusive marriage, does not engage in sexual relationships outside of the marriage.

Bible has clearly told us of the fact that we are the bride of Christ according to 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

It can also mean keeping one's promises no matter the prevailing circumstances, such as God's covenant to love his people. Literally, it is the state of being full of faith in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept.

Jesus Himself in the book of Matthew said that the only base by which a man is permitted to take another wife for himself is in the case of unfaithful and in this case the unfaithfulness of adultery and nothing else and i say if a man will be able to keep with that, he should continue in the marriage.

Our relationship with Christ is that of a marriage relationship and i say it again. Friends please listen to me and know that Faithfulness in the marriage is a virtue in Christianity. There is no marriage on earth that can survive long without faithfulness.

It is our loyalty to our partners that gives credence to how long that relationship will last. If the natural man would require faithfulness from his earthly wife who is not by nature a faithful being, how much more God.

The word faithfulness is synonymous to fidelity and Fidelity is the quality of faithfulness or loyalty. Loyalty... The underlining word in marriage is loyalty. Where there is no loyalty in marriage, there can be no trust. Now this is the reason why so many relationships exist in suspicions because nobody is ready to submit to the other.

Friends be faithful in your walk with Christ and Christ will be faithful with you in all ramifications of life.

Receive grace to Remain faithful for Christ. Amen
