Honoring God is respecting him and the best way to respect God is by showing a humble heart before him.
When we come into the presence of God, we do so with a posture of humility. The psalmist recommends that we "bow down and kneel before our maker." This posture allows us to recognize God as our master and Lord of our lives, it also helps us to adore and praise his name with great simplicity in our hearts.
Whenever we have to worship our God, we must come with the best disposition of the heart and prostrate ourselves before Him and pour out our soul at His feet, adoring Him for being He who has given us life and all things for its maintenance.
When we meet in temples with the sole intention of worshiping God, we must be clear that worship is to please and serve God, and not men. Reverence and great respect for our God is required.
The material things that can interrupt the worship of our God, as is the case with cell phones within congregations, leaves a lot to say, in people who are more aware of the telephone in worship than their respect for God.
The worship is to surrender completely before the Lord and remain with an attitude of humiliation recognizing the supreme authority of God in our lives.
The psalmist is very clear when he says: “Come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker. 7 Because he is our God ”.
The psalmist emphasizes that Jehovah is our God, therefore, it is worthy that we worship him with all due respect, showing a posture of humiliation in recognition of what he represents for us, that we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
If the president of a nation is honored and respected, how much more so for our God, who is the owner and maker of the entire universe.
If a mortal is honored, how much more so for the eternal God.
