Patience must prevail in our walk with God and we must not tire of waiting until God's turn for what He has planned to do with us according to His will.
Sometimes it seems to us that we have waited a lifetime. We get tired and don't feel like we can continue any longer and then something happens; maybe something small.
Like the prophet Elijah, we see a cloud about the size of a man's palm rising into the sea (1 Kings 18:44), giving us confidence that it will rain.
Maybe your “cloud” is a special word from God and someone gives it to you or maybe God touched you in a special way. You may receive a gift, something you have been believing in, that only God knew about, and it encourages you to know that the Lord knows you are alive and waiting.
You may be called to preach and receive an invitation to speak in the men's communion or women's prayer group at church. The invitation renews his hope that the doors are beginning to open.
I literally watched God do this kind of thing with me for years. He had great vision, and he was consumed with it. I was "pregnant" with a dream. Had I known about God or was I making it up? He taught Bible studies, but wanted and felt called to do much more.
The years of silence were very difficult, but very necessary. I was growing up, gaining wisdom and experience, learning how to go under authority, and learning the Word of God that I had to preach for my calling.
Many would like to preach, but they don't even have a message.
Just before I wanted to give up, God's wind was blowing past. He used to do something to keep me hopeful.
God is watching the lives of his children very closely, and he will not let us be tempted any more than we can resist (1 Corinthians 10:13). God provides the way out of any situation at the right time. In the meantime, He will give us what we need to be stable and joyful if we trust Him to do so, by doing what He knows is best.

Espera y no te canses de esperar
En nuestro caminar con Dios debe prevalecer la paciencia y no debemos cansarnos de esperar hasta que llegue el turno de Dios para lo que ha planeado hacer con nosotros según su voluntad.
Algunas veces, nos parece que hemos esperado toda una vida. Nos cansamos y no sentimos que podamos continuar por màs tiempo y, luego, algo ocurre; tal vez algo pequeño.
Como el profeta Elías, vemos una nube como del tamaño de la palma de la mano de un hombre que sube al mar (1 Reyes 18:44), y nos brinda la confianza de que lloverá.
Tal vez su “nube” es una palabra especial de parte de Dios y que alguien se la da o quizás Dios lo tocó de manera especial. Posiblemente reciba un regalo, algo en lo que ha estado creyendo, de lo cual sólo Dios tenía conocimiento, y le alienta saber que el Señor sabe que usted está vivo y espera.
Quizás tenga el llamado para predicar y recibe una invitación para hablar en la comunión de hombres o el grupo de oración de las mujeres en la iglesia. La invitación le renueva la esperanza de que las puertas comienzan a abrirse.
Yo, literalmente observaba que Dios hacía este tipo de cosas conmigo por años. Tenía una gran visión, y estaba consumido con ella. Estaba “en estado de embarazo” con un sueño. ¿Sí había sabido de Dios o me lo inventaba? Enseñaba estudios bíblicos, pero quería y sentía el llamado para hacer mucho más.
Los años de silencio fueron muy difíciles, pero muy necesarios. Estaba creciendo, adquiriendo sabiduría y experiencia, aprendiendo cómo ir bajo la autoridad, y aprendiendo la Palabra de dios que tenía que predicar por mi llamado.
A muchos les gustaría predicar, pero ni siquiera tienen un mensaje.
Justo antes de cuando quería rendirme, el viento de Dios soplaba al paso. Él solía hacer algo para que yo permaneciera esperanzado.
Dios se encuentra vigilando muy de cerca la vida de sus hijos, y no dejará que seamos tentados más de lo que podemos resistir (1 Corintios 10:13). Dios provee el camino para salir de cualquier situación en el tiempo justo. Mientras tanto, Él nos dará lo que necesitemos para estar estables y gozosos si confiamos en Él para ello, al realizar lo que Él sabe es mejor.
