Luke 9:23; And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
The concept of holiness and righteousness can sometimes confuse many in that people see the ideology to be a far fetched something that no man can attain. With excuses of we been human, and that we cannot abstain from erring etc.
But come to think of it, Christ stayed on this earth with us humans in human for as we are, flesh and blood, emotions, pain, feelings etc and yet did not commit any sin. Why can't we also do same? The answer is simple, we fail to abide by simple instructions.
So here is the way forward, trust and obey for obedience is better than sacrifice, so heed to what the scripture is telling or teaching you and by your deeds and your faith you will be made righteous the same way Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness.
When the Bible says do not kill, you abstain from killing and when the Bible says do not steal avoid stealing. It is as simple as it can be and cannot be anymore simpler than the Word has already thought us. So step out today and be holy.
