John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The first and most important duty of man is to WORSHIP GOD. No man can be fulfilled without worshipping God.
It's lack of a worshipping lifestyle that makes people suffer depression, heart attacks or frustrations, though they have everything life could offer.
As long as the earth remain, acquisition of things can't bring man into the domain of fulfillment and peace, only worship does.
Have you ever found yourself in a state of confusion, but after worship every issue got dissolved and peace restored?
In order to give effective worship to the Almighty God, it has to be in spirit and truth.
It's spiritual because only a spiritual man can worship a spiritual God. The flesh can't worship God because it's too corrupt to be beheld by God.
Brethren, spirituality here refers to our intimate relationship with God. In this case, our spirit must connect to God in a solemnized communion with Him. This is fueled by a revelatory knowledge of who God is, revealed in His word, for His words are Spirits and life (John 6:63).
Another important aspect of effective worship is Truth. God hates falsehood, thus we must live a life of truth in order that our worship will be accepted.
