1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
The day signifies an era of greater revelation of Divine presence, power and dominion. It's a time of great knowledge and wisdom in the service of the Almighty God.
Brethren, we are in the days of God's glory and revelatory knowledge. Thus we must be sober and get prepared for the Master shall come unexpectedly.
Let us hold on to a life of love, faith in Christ and ensure our salvation is not corrupted. Let us hold on to Christ, the hope of our glory. This is not the time to be drunk and club around. This is not the time to live in immorality like the world.
The night is spent and we are to live like children of the day, because that's who we are. The night represent a time of ignorance in the things of God.
It's a time of merriment in darkness and those in it are at the mercy of destruction from the devil. It's not uncommon to see people still living in the night though we are now in the day.
We should be careful not to be corrupted by the people of the night.
We are the light of the world, let us shine forth!

Abba Father, thank you for revealing yourself to us. Please deliver our friends and neighbors from darkness and grant us the grace to shine daily, in Jesus name. Amen.
