The generation of Isaiah wrote the prophecy and the generation of Jesus Christ declare it fulfilled. We are the generation of Jesus Christ. Isaiah declared seven fold assignment of the messiah and Jesus declared it fulfilled. These seven are;
Anointed to preach the gospel to the poor.
Sent to heal broken hearted
Proclaim liberty to the captives
To Open the prison to those who are bound
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (The Set time)
To comfort those who mourn in Zion
To plant and enforce the standard of righteousness in Zion that God may be glorified.
For the purpose of this sermon, we will be limited to the fifth dimension of the messiah's assignment which is to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, (The set time). This means that the set time can be declared and proclaimed. When God's servants preach the gospel it means they are proclaiming or declaring the acceptable time or set time of the Lord, following in the footsteps of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ who became our Jubilee.
The Jubilee is an event that is proclaimed or declared, until it is declared or proclaimed in effect cannot be felt. There is need for the trumpet of the Jubilee to be sounded across the land for the full effect of the proclamation or declaration of Jubilee to take effect.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Leviticus 25:9-10.
