Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
We can't make light of power, as far as the Gospel of Christ is concerned because it is all about the power of God to salvation for everyone that believes. We too must believe in God's power not when we fall down, but when we interface with Him constantly, for that is when it's imparted. When the Lord Jesus wanted to send out His disciples, He entrusted them with power to expel demons and to heal all sicknesses.
After His suffering and resurrection, He told His disciples to tarry for power from on high. Christianity is power from start to finish. However, faithfulness plays a key role in administrating it. For He entrusts more of His power to us, as we are faithful in obeying every single instruction He gives per time. In fact, power always comes with specific instructions from the Lord because obedience will pilot it to do exactly what it is intended for. Depth of power is always with the humble and obedient ones.
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Power of God and He is with you? Do you understand that His power always seek to find unhindered expression through you?
The Word says that the preparation of the heart/spirit belongs to man, but the answer of the tongue is of the Lord. Regeneration is the free work of the Spirit of God through the atonement in the Blood of Christ, but to prepare the heart is our responsibility. Apostle Peter says that He has given to us all things that pertains to life and godliness.... Why? So that we can take advantage of them to getting prepared.
Brethren, the more prepared we are, the more we become His choice vessels of honor. Adequate preparation will never cease to attract God to us for His kingdom-usage. Renewing of the mind is another major area where preparation is of great importance. How? For the more we get our mind renewed daily in His Word and by praying in tongues, the more, He also grants us utterance, the sure sign of our inner preparation indeed.
